Breakfasts in CA

When we are visiting CA, there are several nice places to have breakfast, well, for us, you'd say brunch, because we like to finish our Yoga, swimming sessions first, and it often takes two to three hours. Fortunately, you can have your breakfast almost any time you want. In Taipei, the latest you can find is about two O'clock in the afternoon.

Outdoor patio of Brent's.

Cheese blintz and fried potato cakes.

Cottage cheese with jam.

Brent's Egg Benedict,

they use avocado and Canadian bacon, very good.

Coffee

Always like this kind of cup in States.

Thick, heavy and solid when you hold it, keeps the coffee hot.

Price for dishes above.

Sometimes you are in a mood for just some simple sunnyside up eggs and sausages.

The turkey sausage of Brent's was a bit sweet, similar to Taiwanese pork sausage.

My favourite poppyseeds bagel.

Generous portion of cream cheese.

The oat bran pancake wasn't as good as expected, not enough bran in it.

Hot maple syrup and whipped butter.(Really good, a bit fluffy and salty.)

The bill.

Lox with bagel.

I guess it's typical Jewish.

It was a hot afternoon brunch,

can't resist a glass of Blue Moon beer.

The Sheraton Agoura Hills Hotel:

Corner of our room.

The view from our balcony.

Hall way.

The bar.

Lobby.

Outside of the lobby, next to the pool.

A simple but quite nice pool.

Our outdoor yoga place.

This is good after a chilly morning swim.

Often stay here to check the computer at night time.

Buffet breakfast at the hotel.

Basic but not so good.

If you upgrade your room,

you have your breakfast here in a private lounge on the 5th floor.

It's brighter and has a nicer atmosphere.

The food is similar to the Lobby buffet one but seems to be fresher.

Our other favorite choice:

Always order multi-grain pancakes here.

At Mimi's Cafe,

we love to sit at the tiny outdoor patio.

Not far from the road and a bit noisy,

but the small grass area and colorful flowers are nice.

Simple but very delicious.

Pain Perdu,

Good for dessert,

it's French toast with marmalade inside and cream, maple syrup.

Quiche is not bad, served with fruit.

Egg Benedict with bacon and spinach,

so good that we forgot to take a picture until half finished.

Hot fresh baked bran muffin.

Very good omelet with avocado and bacon and fried potato.

The grapefruit juice wasn't as good as before.

It was fresh squeezed.
